We’ve used a lot of different hosting companies over the last couple of years, some by choice, and some because they seem like a match for the new website. Every website has different needs, simple static websites place far less pressure on their host server than say a dynamic database driven e-commerce store.

Which host to choose?

There are huge differences between all these hosting companies, price, performance, features, and it can be difficult making the right choice. And while it’s tempting to go with the cheapest hosting you can find this can be a mistake in the long run. Cheap hosting usually means low grade servers that are crammed with websites leading to real performance issues. And one of the biggest turn offs on the Internet is slow websites – even if your website looks great, has excellent content it’ll still fail your business if it’s too slow.

Where to host my website?

This problem isn’t restricted to smaller hosting companies, some of the biggest in the industry get it wrong sometimes. We recently moved a website from our development server and were frankly appalled at the performance from such a big player in the hosting industry. An email later and they promptly moved the website and all the speed related issues disappeared. But we shouldn’t need to ask for our website to be on a faster server -  it should just go on one straightaway.

Fast, affordable hosting.

So we’ve now invested in our own hosting which gives us the opportunity to match each website to its ideal hosting. And because we can tailor the hosting to each website you won’t be charged for things you don’t need. So we’ll be recommending our own hosting for all newly built and redesigned websites from now on.

We’ll release some pricing details and example packages shortly. But if you can’t wait you’re welcome to contact us for details.
